Kinshihai Shuzo
Yukikage Snow Shadow

From the sake bottle
Soft, light and elegant taste with aroma of apple marzipan and green apple, thanks to the special yeast “S-3”. Locally-grown “Gohyaku-mangoku” sake rice is polished to 58% of its original size and then fermented with soft spring water “Tengu-no-mizu”, sourced from Mt. Hakusan in Gosen.
Sake Review
Our Tasting Notes
Gutsy and earthy, Yukikage is a bonfire sake with an earthy autumn depth

It carries the scent of...
Autumn arriving. Like fresh morning air giving way to something earthier underneath.
It tastes like the color...
Vermillion at dusk. Like the color of a flame when the wood is old and the night is cool.
What surprised me most was...
How it reminded me of a snapping pea. Bright and alive, with a subtle sweetness in the middle of the earthiness.
The kind of evening this was made for...
A hill country bonfire in October. The kind where nobody checks their phone.
Three words that describe this sake are...
Deep. Surprising. Autumnal.
